Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number submitted through a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept long enough to review and answer it. We do not disclose the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers may receive routine technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure use, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers may combine that traffic into summary reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the site and improving page speed
- Routing a submitted search to the selected outside service
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing faults and maintaining security
- Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Newton County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court cases or personal court-record data. It publishes reference information about official Arkansas search systems and the clerks that maintain Newton County records. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or dossiers about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Data entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider sets its own retention and disclosure rules, which we do not control. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court and clerk resources, the statewide case portal, other public agencies, or outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking practices are outside our direct control.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information under our control. No online system can promise perfect security, so a loss or unauthorized access can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with the law that applies to a visitor. Arkansas Code ยง 25-19-101 et seq., the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, addresses public records generally, while Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs access to judicial case records. Neither turns private visitor data into a court record. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as services or legal duties change. A new version will appear here with its current effective date.
